| Race Notes: |
| Noted that the red mark went missing
after the first lap but that Sabre
sailors estimated the position and
kept sailing to that position. There
is no evidence that this affected the
final result. The missing red
mark also affected 109812 which
completed her course by sailing around
the blue mark. She also missed out on
a final lap time because the cameras
were returned to the beach before she
had finished. Accordingly, a
synthetic last lap time has been derived
from her 2nd, 3rd and 4th lap times and
a -10 min redress, representing the
distance difference between the blue and
red courses, applied to compensate for
four rounding instances of the
blue mark instead of the red. The
cameras also missed the final 3rd lap of
661. The nominal extended course
for this class is 3 laps but boats of
this class will still achieve a result
with 2 laps sailed. |
