Book a Club Boat

One of the things that makes Sugarloaf special is our large fleet of club boats that are not only used for training but are available for use by members free of charge. This provides an opportunity for new sailors to explore the pros and cons of various classes before investing in their own boat.

The fleet is maintained by volunteers and comprises boats from a range of classes
Members can Book a Club boat using the Club internal Username and Password.

If you have forgotten the login details:
Refer to 'Events' in the menu for a sailing day and then book here:
Please note that from early October until mid December and again from early February to end March, the Squad is active on Saturday mornings and some boats such as the Access Dinghies and Sabres are unavailable for booking until 12:00 on those days.

The Racing Fleet

The racing fleet at Sugarloaf comprises a number of classes. A representative sample is listed below:

* Dominant Racing Classes

Please note that sailboards, keel boats and/or craft with cabins, cooking or toilet facilities are not permitted on the Reservoir. Victorian "Championship"s for various classes are hosted by Sugarloaf Sailing Club.

125 Class Off The Beach Dinghy and 13’ Hawk Surf Cat

Complete with all Sails, Spars and Rudders including a Spinnaker for both boats. Boats come piggy backed on a registered trailer with working lights and recently regreased bearings.

The combination includes a second ex Fireball trailer, capable of adaption to carry the Hawk Cat separately, and a beach trolley for the 125 Dinghy.

Boats have been stored under cover and are in the same condition as when last sailed.

The Surf Cat, which is a great boat for the kids, only requires a clean up and rigging check and the 125 Dingy, which includes a trapeze, requires some restoration work to the Gunwales but is otherwise in good condition.

Boats are located in Hurstbridge and all offers will be considered.

I have a timber sabre with ordinary usable sail, sound hull, could do with a tidy up, ugly paint job, $100. Sorry no trailer. I need the space.

Unfinished Solo,
A mostly finished timber Solo. Belongs to an elderly friend, who with declining health has realized it won't be something he can complete. it has been in undercover storage for approx 10 years and never seen the water.

Has ally bits and a sail but no stainless and can't see a rudder. He's asking $200 but is open to offers and would just like to see it go to someone who will finish it
