The Summer Series runs from the beginning of September to the end of December and from the beginning of February to the end of April. |
Points are allocated in two Divsions. Open and Junior. Points are allocated using the low point system equivalent to the placing of each boat that completed the race with the exception of first place which is awarded 0.75 points.
In a typical year there are over 15 programmed races that make up the Summer Series. There is one race on each sailing day (every Saturday). It is the Yardstick result that is used to calculate the series place getters.
Trophies are awarded for first second and third in each of the two Divisions.
Summer race results are also presented with Championship 'High Points' which are allocated as 3,2,1 for first second and third respectively. These points are aggregated with the Winter series points to determine the Club champion for both Open and Junior Divisions. In the Championship case, highest points wins. There are no drops in the championship series. |
